About Lockdown Aid
Lockdown Aid is an arm of Build The World Initiative, a nonprofit organization with a mission to expand financial access to help under-resourced individuals and communities thrive.
We do this by crowdfunding donations and unlocking capital for the needy, improving the quality of living and addressing the underlying barriers to financial access around the world.

Our VisionTo be a Fast and Reliable Support System During Crisis.
The outbreak of Covid-19 has undeniably led to unforeseen hardship, particularly illness and loss of employment.
More states are already opting for a shutdown of their borders and inter-state travels; while the cost of foodstuffs in recent days has continued to soar high due to the lockdown and panic buying. And for some states that are not totally locked down, companies are closing, and employees are gradually losing jobs or unpaid.
Some Nigerians living below the poverty line are already suffering and the stay-at-home is now causing more hardship for the indigents who cannot afford three square meals daily.
Urgent action should therefore be taken in this direction since it would not be long the hungry would prefer to die of coronavirus than to die of hunger while staying at home and obeying government orders.
This is why Lockdown Aid is requesting urgent palliative from generous givers and by extension federal, state and local council governments. You can browse through the list of our donees across the nation and select individual/s to help.
We will succeed if we support one another and that success will belong to every one of us.
